It seems Kanye West is plagued with bad controversies these days. After the news about him cutting Taylor Swift’s speech in VMA awards a few months ago, here comes another allegation regarding West having an outburst in an airplane earlier in the week.

The New York Post reported that West, on a post Grammy flight back from Los Angeles to New York, threw a fit when he and his assistant were seated in the business class instead of first class. He then refuted this incident in his blog. According to West,

“Man, this is not true. I really feel bad that people believe this kind of stuff or any random rumor that is taken as fact. This rumor is so funny, because I had a business-class seat and was actually offered a seat in first class. I had a friend who was sitting in coach and asked if they could bump him up to business instead of putting me in first. There was absolutely no altercation in any way.

“I could really care less about where I sit on the plane, I go right to sleep anyway,” he continued. “It’s hard to deal with the rumors sometimes. As a good person with a warm heart, it does bother me. I’m not bigger than feeling pain, embarrassment, stress and worry. Have you ever been lied about? How does it make you feel? You wanna tell everybody it’s not true, right?”

He concluded his long explanation with a thank you message for his fans, telling them how hard he is working for his next album and that he won’t let them down.

Let’s just hope that this is the end of the series of bad publicity for Kanye West.

The 53rd Grammy Awards has just been concluded. Among the top winners of the night are Beyonce, who won 6 awards including Song of the Year for Single Ladies, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance, Best R&B Song, and Best Contemporary R&B Album. She is followed by Country-music sensation Taylor Swift, who won four awards, including the top award Album of The Year for her album Fearless.

The Black Eyed Peas and Kings of Leon each won three awards, with Kings of Leon bagging the Record Of The Year award for Use Somebody. Eminem, Lady Gaga and Jason Mraz managed to bring home 2 Grammys.

First ever American Idol Kelly Clarkson will be arriving in Manila for a one-night concert this May 1, 2010, 7PM at the SM Mall Of Asia Concert Grounds. After winning the popular talent show in 2002, she produced chart-topping hits that includes A Moment Like This, Breakaway and her recent singles My Life Would Suck Without You and Already Gone.

American Idol 2008 finalist Jason Castro will finally release his debut album, Jason Castro, this month. As of this writing, schedule of release is on January 26, 2010, Tuesday. The album will be under Atlantic Records, and according to company executive Pete Ganberg, “If you fell in love with Jason on the show, this is exactly the record you’d want him to make. It’s introspective, playful and very much a combination of his influences, which range from Jeff Buckley to Jack Johnson.”

Jason is well-known for his laid-back and feel-good style of music. One of his most notable performances in his American Idol stint is his version of Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen. This album was initially set to be released November of 2008 but was postponed. According to the singer, “I’ve poured my life into this album for the past several months — writing over 50 songs, recording a bunch of them and working to get each one just right. We’re really close but are making some final tweaks so it can be exactly the album that I imagined it would be!”
